About the Item

Pair of axemen. Wrought iron. 20th century. A pair of wrought iron candelabras or torch holders with four curved, finial legs and a baluster-shaped shaft decorated with discs and a vase-like knob. Also called torch holders, these lighting fixtures were commonly used in important houses and civil and religious institutions in Spain, dating back to the Gothic period.
