French Bronze figural clock with a finely cast Bronze statue depicting Aurora holding a brass Orb clock with Roman numerals and original moonpoise hands. Eight day French movement striking the hours and halves on a silvered bell. Numbered 237 with lever platform escapement. circa 1870 Aurora is generally associated with time and often as here carrying time, symbolising the eternal flow of time and events.
