Royal fire-gilded mantel clock/Pendule Napoleon III, 1870, Paris, signed Lantier A fantastic masterwork of perfection with beautiful fire-gilded bronze. Bronze, gold plated. On volute and paw feet a curved case with a woman's mask, winged female herms and a crowning globe in front of crossed oak leaf branches. Under a round arch is the glazed, gold-plated dial with Roman numerals on enamel cartouches. Cones attached to the side. Rich appliqué and relief decoration. Spring suspension. Hook walk.
