Chimes of Normandy Musical Clock Early 20th Century A masterpiece of horology and woodworking, the Chimes of Normandy Clock exemplifies early 20th-century craftsmanship with intricate scroll-saw fretwork. Its dark-stained oak case showcases hand-carved panels in a cathedral-inspired form with three turrets featuring a rope motif, stunning fretwork design, a central clock face and delicately carved balconies. A bell tower spire adds grandeur with an enclosed cylinder musical mechanism resting within the base. The iconic pattern gained historical prominence when an example, hand-carved by Ernestine Guerrero in 1937, was gifted to President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Guerrero’s clock, crafted from salvaged grocery boxwood, is now displayed at the Roosevelt Library as a testament to resilience during the Great Depression. 41 1/2" high x 19 1/4" wide x 10" deep

Wooden Mantel Clock Vincenti et Cie Late 19th century The mechanism is marked "Vincenti et Cie, Médaille d'Argent 1855, Made in France." Vincenti et Cie, established in 1823 by Jean Vincenti in Montbéliard, was revitalized by Albert Roux in 1829, who expanded and innovated the company.
