About the Item

This charming wall clock was produced by the Roger Capron factory, featuring a design by Raymond Peynet, as indicated by the signature. Made from textured stoneware, it shows Peynet’s characteristic engraved illustration: a romantic couple beneath a tree, surrounded by birds, flowers, and small heart motifs. The rounded clock face is decorated with heart-shaped hour markers and framed by a delicate laurel wreath Raymond Peynet (1908–1999) was a French illustrator and designer, famous for his romantic characters *Les Amoureux* (“The Lovers”). He occasionally collaborated with manufacturers such as Roger Capron, whose workshops translated his drawings into ceramic pieces.
