About the Item

This wonderful 20th Century Art Deco Shagreen photograph frame is in excellent condition with a convex bullnose edge detail, rather than a flat surface. Photograph frames like this were usually made for quality London stores of the period such as Mappin & Webb or Asprey. The light and shade in colouring of the shagreen is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, something unique which cannot be replicated on later 20th Century frames. The mahogany back and easel support are also in excellent condition. Dimensions: W 8 1/2” x H 10 1/4” x D 1/2”.
