About the Item

A striking French Art Deco modernist photograph frame dating from the 1930s, combining elegant geometry with refined industrial materials typical of the period. The frame is composed of a minimalist chrome-plated steel structure with two solid uprights mounted on a flat base, holding original double glass panels. This design allows a photograph, print, or drawing to be placed between the glass sheets, creating a light and sophisticated presentation visible from both sides. The contrast between the polished chrome and the transparency of the glass reflects the aesthetic of European modernist desk accessories of the interwar period. Objects of this type were often used on desks, dressing tables, or library furniture in refined interiors. The piece retains its original glass panels and displays a beautiful period patina on the chrome-plated metal, consistent with age and use. The drawing currently shown between the glass plates is an illustrative image only and can easily be replaced by a photograph, artwork, or document. A refined decorative accessory, ideal for a desk, console, or bookcase, and a charming addition to an Art Deco or modernist interior. Dimensions Holds image: 18 cm H × 20 cm W (7.1 in H × 7.9 in W)
