About the Item

This is a vintage, hand-cut metal folding screen or room divider, having an iron frame with openwork brass figures. The piece dates to the 1960s and was purportedly crafted in Spain. The piece was procured from a dealer in the Netherlands and shipped back stateside. The figures include animals, trees and humans, and there is a detail of the sun on the top of each panel. All panels have the stamp of the maker, “DV”, as well as a second stamp. We have been unable to determine the exact maker of the piece. The panels can be taken apart and the pieces can serve as wall panels as well. Each panel is 17.5 inches wide. When assembled, the screen measures 0.5 inches deep, 70 inches wide, and 71.75 inches high.
