About the Item

Abstract steel sculpture, in the form of a helmet; from the estate of the artist June Barrington-Ward (1922-2002) and attributed to her. England 1970s. Unsigned. Good original condition with some signs of age-appropriate wear including small rust spots, scratches and some dust to the interior. See images for examples and overview. The surface is satin black; the images are taken in natural light from the left. The second sculpture in the final image is available separately. Approximate dimensions: H 36cm W 18cm D 13.5cm Barrington-Ward was a sculptor who studied at Chelsea School of Art and exhibited widely in the 1960s and 70s.
