A charming and finely detailed pair of English 19th century Porcelain parrots, attributed to Chelsea Porcelain. Each colorful parrot is gazing at each other while perched on wonderfully detailed tree stumps with bottom green foliage. Each parrots displays a wonderful expressions and intricately detailed plumage. On the bottom is the original stamp in the manner of Chelsea Porcelain. Chelsea Porcelain was one of the most important 18th-century English porcelain manufacturers, active in London from around 1745 to 1784 and renowned for its luxurious soft-paste porcelain inspired by Continental styles. The factory became famous for its finely modeled figures, richly decorated tablewares, and its distinctive anchor mark, symbolizing both Chelsea’s riverside location and its artistic identity.
