About the Item

Superbly stylish is this 1930's Art Deco bust of a female, standing 32 cm high and made from terracotta this bust makes the perfect statement piece. Free from any damage and showing only minor signs of age. BIO The sculptor Bohumil Rezl was born on September 17, 1899 in Czechoslovakia. He migrated to Paris, France in 1926 where he began to create models for the manufacture of Villenauxe. In 1933 he then moved on to Villenauxe-la-Grande to work at the factory. He returned home to Czechoslovakia in 1951, where he eventually died in 1963 aged only 64. His statues and Busts are much sought today.
