About the Item

Elegant sculpture of Sarapis in finely polished red jasper. The god is depicted in bust form, with long, wavy hair and an abundant, carefully sculpted beard, evoking classical ancient iconography. The flowing drapery of the garment testifies to the delicate, refined workmanship of the material. The rich reddish-brown hues of the jasper give the work a warm, precious presence, accentuated by its satin polish. The bust rests on a turned base in black stone, creating an elegant contrast with the red stone.
