Fine vintage brass half-bust, depicting a young woman with an elaborate gathered hairstyle. The work, recovered from a stately villa in Caserta, is a fine example of decorative sculpture from the mid-20th century (ca. 1950). The sculpture is notable for the sweetness of the face, the serene downward gaze, and the attention to detail, particularly in the rendering of the hair and the floral decoration on the neckline of the dress.
