This box is a part of a large collection of antique European enamel and porcelain boxes that I'm going to list for sale. The Marseille based Perrin faience factory was founded in 1733 by Claude Perrin, which he ran until his death in 1748. At that point, his widow Pierette Candelot assumed control and the firm became known as Veuve Perrin (translated as Widow Perrin), marking its objects with a conjoined "VP" monogram as can be seen on the base of this box. Candelot's son Joseph and daughter Anne took over the factory after her death in 1794, running the firm until it closed in 1803. > Most of the items that we sell at Atelier De Montplaisir are not new at all if not stated otherwise.
