About the Item

Here is a graceful and expressive bronze sculpture by German sculptor Hans Parzinger, depicting a young female figure standing with arms uplifted in a gesture of celebration, freedom or invocation. The composition captures a remarkable sense of movement and optimism, with the figure balanced lightly on one foot while her elongated arms create a striking architectural silhouette. Executed in the Art Deco period, the sculpture reflects the era's fascination with idealized form and simplified geometry. Rather than emphasizing minute anatomical detail, Parzinger models the figure with broad, flowing planes and softly rounded contours, creating an elegant harmony between realism and modernist abstraction.
