Description
Decorative 19th century sculpture attributed to Henryk I Kossowski (1815–1870), depicting a seated female figure in a contemplative pose.
The sculpture is made in gilt bronze, with the head, hands and feet executed in celluloid, in the chryselephantine style. The figure is seated on a chair and raised on a rectangular green marble base.
A refined decorative sculpture with classical influence, suitable for display on a cabinet, console, desk, library or collector’s interior.

Condition:
Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. Wear and losses to the gilding, surface marks and minor signs of age as shown. Marble base with light wear.
