About the Item

A pair of hand-painted models of the human ear showing the outer ear and also the inner tympanic membrane with malleus and incus. In good condition and marked with explanatory labels on the wooden plinth. Model one is made from Somsoplast, with the second of the two models is handmade from plaster. The second model is made by the German company ‘Bock Steger Lips’ from Leipzig and dates to around 1890. The models are wonderful focal points and look brilliant displayed, even if not owned by the most serious of collectors! The price is for the pair of models. Germany, circa 1900.
