About the Item

Philippe Hiquily sculpture. Altuglas and brass. JM Lelouch Editions 2012. Signed and numbered, limited edition 1/4. Circa 1990, France. Signed by the designer. Very good vintage condition. Philippe Hiquily was a French sculptor and designer, trained at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Influenced by his friendship with Marcel Duchamp, Hiquily is known for his surrealist works. The artist produced biomorphic furniture and erotic sculptures, combining an imaginative and whimsical approach to design. In addition, Jean-Marc Lelouch edited exclusively Philippe Hiquily with whom he had the privilege of collaborating. Philippe Hiquily was a French sculptor and designer, who trained as a sculptor at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Influenced by his friendship with Marcel Duchamp, Hiquily was known for his surrealist works. The prominent artist produced biomorphic furniture and erotic sculptures, combining an imaginative and whimsical approach to design. In addition, Jean-Marc Lelouch has exclusively edited Philippe Hiquily with whom he had the privilege of collaborating.
