Happening Circle Platinum Ceramic Suspension Sculpture — Unique Work, 2024

This one-of-a-kind organic modern ceramic hanging sculpture is hand-built in high-fired stoneware in Detroit and produced as a unique work in 2024. Rooted in contemporary design and architectural restraint, the composition explores repetition, gravity, and spatial rhythm through suspended form. The installation is composed of 34 individually formed stoneware elements arranged as a unified hanging structure. Each component maintains clarity of curvature and proportion, while collectively the forms create a dimensional field that reads as both constellation and architectural plane. Suspended by natural jute rope, the sculpture can be adjusted to varying ceiling heights, allowing flexibility in spatial presentation. The rope introduces subtle material contrast — organic fiber against dense ceramic mass — reinforcing the dialogue between weight and levity. High-fired for permanence and structural integrity, the white glaze emphasizes contour and shadow across each individual form. Light interacts across the layered surfaces, creating dimensional depth within the overall composition.
