About the Item

An antique Cotswold limestone corbel of a medieval English King, salvaged from the base of an archway in a period building in Oxfordshire. This fragment of stone is an impressive hand-carved sculpture showcasing desirable weathering. Fragments of a crown still remain, portraying the character of a king. To the left of the face, the base of an archway remains. Believed to be 17th century but has the potential to be much earlier.
