An extraordinary specimen of petrified wood from Burma (Myanmar), dating to approximately 100 million years, presented as a natural sculptural form on a finely carved hardwood stand.
Formed over millions of years, this piece originates from ancient forests where fallen trees became buried beneath layers of sediment. Through a gradual geological process, the original organic material was replaced by mineral deposits—most commonly silica-based compounds such as quartz—preserving the structure while transforming it into stone.
