About the Item

A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English presentation cup. This impressive Edwardian presentation cup has a Campania form onto a knopped pedestal to a circular spreading foot. The body of this antique cup is ornamented with impressive embossed scrolling acanthus leaf decoration to either side of the two scroll decorated shaped cartouches. The cartouche to one side displays a fine bright cut engraved scene depicting a gentleman with a woman. The rim of the cup and foot are both embellished with a gadroon style decorated border. The lower portion of the body and the upper portion of the spreading foot of this Edwardian trophy are embossed with impressive leaf decoration in a subtle swirl design. This fine cup is fitted with impressive S scroll handles, ornamented with applied chased acanthus leaf decoration. Each handle has an integrated thumbpiece. The cup has an interior glass.

Gorgeous Italian solid silver vase. Body made in one piece without welding. Embossed and chiseled, of rare beauty and precision. Two important handles made of fusion and finely chiseled were welded onto the vase. The inside of the vase has been gilded in thickness with a non-glossy technique in order to make the overhangs visible and appreciable also on the inside.
