A Pair of Brutalist Murano Art Glass Vases Attributed to Costantini A striking pair of Brutalist Murano art glass vases distinguished by their sculptural organicist form and sophisticated material presence. Handblown on the island of Murano, Venice, they feature thick, pearl-grey translucent glass with an expressive crackled surface. An inner casing of white opaline glass creates a luminous, iceberg-like effect. Bold and architectural in silhouette, each vase is irregular, emphasizing the authenticity of the handblown process. The pair measures approximately 29 cm high x 17 cm diameter (11.4 in. high x 6.7 in. diameter), with slight variations in diameter due to the free-form construction. Attributed to Costantini, these vases exemplify mid-century Italian Brutalist glasswork at its finest—powerful yet refined, decorative yet sculptural. Ideal as a symmetrical centerpiece on a large dining table, or displayed on a sideboard or entrance console beneath a central mirror.
