This is a large 1980s vintage Jaru vase in beautiful lavender/mauve ceramic. We purchased it at a spectacular vintage Palm Springs estate. It was paird with a "sister" vase in a deep rasberry color available on separate listing. Jaru is a noted California-based pottery company founded in 1965 by Jack and Ruth Lewin in Culver City, specializing in mid-century modern and postmodern ceramic decorative arts. Known for whimsical, handcrafted animal figurines, vases, and sculptures, Jaru produced high-quality, often colorful and always modern with a vintage California esthetic.
