About the Item

This unique ceramic piece is part of The Table Project, a collaborative initiative developed in Spain in 2024. Originally designed by Isidro Blasco, the work has been reinterpreted by Teresa Moro, a visual artist whose practice centers on the observation of everyday objects as carriers of symbolic, emotional, and historical meaning. In this intervention, Moro depicts a series of painting tools, among them a container with brushes and open tubes of oil paint, arranged across the surface of the vase in an expressive palette of reddish, pink, and ochre tones. The composition rests on a glazed white background, which acts as a neutral support, allowing the objects to take on an almost narrative presence, somewhere between the anecdotal and the evocative. About Teresa Moro Teresa Moro’s work revisits and reinterprets figures of Modernism, seeking out subtle details, differences, and moments of visual resonance. Her practice offers a quiet resistance to the increasing standardization imposed by consumer culture in our domestic and artistic environments. About The Table Project The Table Project is an initiative led by artist Isidro Blasco. From his studio in the Carabanchel district of Madrid, the project brings together artists with the aim of creating original, handcrafted art objects and fostering connections within the local creative community. Since 2019, The Table Project has promoted encounters rooted in Spain’s artisanal traditions, while embracing a distinctly contemporary perspective. The initiative provides a space for multidisciplinary artists to create handmade works within the context of contemporary art. After living in New York for 25 years, Blasco launched The Table Project to connect traditional craftsmanship with the vibrant energy of current artistic creation.
