About the Item

"This elegant and highly sophisticated Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Glass Vase originates from Italy, Circa 1970. Featuring a teardrop silhouette with a narrow oblong mouth and subtle flattened base, the body of the piece has lovely banded striations achieved in flecks of 24 Karat Rose Gold within the hand-blown glass. These flecks achieve precise detailing and gorgeous reflectivity, running diagonally across the undulating surface of the vase. Each rose gold striation meets an organic rounded element in white and muted green hues, then followed by a wide diagonal band of textural frosted glass. This band achieves a contrast of surface texture across the piece and uniquely displays the hues and vibrance of the rose gold banded detailing compared to how its viewed in the translucent areas. Elegant and with stunning hues and detailing, this vase will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors.
