About the Item

Small vintage midcentury modern vase by Walter Grau for Fohr Pottery, Germany, circa 1970. The Company Fohr started producing decorative pottery in the 1950s under Wilhelm Fohr, although they were originally founded in 1859 by Peter Fohr. The vase with it's delightful form, bright red glaze and relief pattern, was designed circa 1970 by Walter Grau, who took over after Heinz Siery left to work for Scheurich in 1955. Rare vase to find and an absolutely stunning form and color.
