About the Item

Mobach Ceramics, Holland Two vases, mid-20th century. Pair of hand-thrown stoneware vases with the characteristic Mobach texture and matte, nuanced glazes in yellow and reddish-brown tones. The cylindrical forms and tactile surfaces are typical of the workshop’s modernist aesthetic. Origin: Holland, Mobach Ceramics, Utrecht. Designer: Studio ceramicist. Material: Stoneware. Dimensions: H. 12.5–13 cm, D. 7 cm. Period: Mid-20th century. Condition: Very good condition with light, natural signs of wear. Founded in 1895 in Utrecht, Mobach Ceramics is one of the oldest and most respected Dutch ceramic studios. Throughout the 20th century, the workshop became known for hand-thrown stoneware vessels featuring experimental glazes and subtle colour transitions. Each piece is individually crafted, reflecting the materiality and artistic freedom that make Mobach ceramics highly collectible today.
