About the Item

Charming vase on foot in opaline glass, painted and gilded. A medallion is drawn in which is represented a cherub wearing a sheet. The pattern is very fine and delicate. For an elegant and delicate interior decoration. Ideal for flowers with large stems. Opaline or opaline glass is a type of white or colored, opaque or translucent glass that can be blown or pressed into a wide variety of shapes. The first examples of opaline were created in Venice in the 16th century, with colors such as blue, pink, yellow, brown, black and white. Very nice French work. 19th century - Napoleon III
