About the Item

Stunning set of two vases in monumental size, made in ceramic, by the well-known Johann Maresch around 1870 in Austria / Bohemia. These two vases are of exceptional quality, decorated all over with Renaissance and antique forms, including grotesques, cornucopias, and lion paws. Typical historicist designs for the time around 1870/80. This color scheme is intended to imitate metal and bronze. A remarkable example of craftsmanship. Dimensions each approx. height 17,32 in - 44 cm, width 12,20 in - 31 cm, depth 9,06 in - 23 cm. A particularly impressive complete set in a particularly rich design with a metallic effect, from a well known artist —an enrichment for any interior.
