WILHELM KAGE. Vase, "Argenta", Gustavsberg's studio 1945, stoneware with silver decoration of a boy with flowers. Marked with factory stamps in the goods and signed with the anchor and GUSTAVSBERG O ARGENTA E 978 EL (painter signature Emil Löfdahl). Height: 15 cm. Good condition The Argenta sandstone collection, now emblematic with its green glaze and silver decorations, is one of Wilhelm Käge's most recognizable motifs. Designed in the late 1920s, it was first presented at the Stockholm exhibition in 1930 and was then produced by Gustavsberg, whose designer was the artistic director in the 1930s and 1940s.
