About the Item

Charming French Art Deco cocktail caddy by L’Art Décor, dating to the 1930s. The oval metal caddy features a deep green patinated finish decorated with stylized silver-tone floral motifs around the perimeter. A mirrored interior supports four removable drinking glasses, each delicately etched with a coordinating daisy and foliate design. The central metal standard terminates in a simple T-shaped handle, giving the piece a particularly graphic architectural profile. A wonderful surviving example of interwar cocktail culture, balancing the geometric restraint of Art Deco with a playful botanical motif. Equally compelling displayed on a bar, drinks trolley, or console. Marked “L’Art Décor” to the underside and additionally signed along the exterior. Includes the original-style set of four glasses shown.
