About the Item

Charming and highly decorative Mid-Century wooden smoking woodpecker bar accessory, made in Europe circa the 1960s. Combining playful design with warm natural materials, this sculptural piece belongs to the distinctive family of zoomorphic cocktail and bar accessories that became particularly popular during the postwar period. The woodpecker is carved from richly toned wood, with a deliberately simplified design emphasizing the bird’s silhouette and character rather than naturalistic detail.
