About the Item

A charming set of antique circa 1800 German pewter tankards or steins. The larger stein measures 11.5"H x 6.5"W x 5.5"D and is inscribed A.C.K. A.C.P. 1799 on the lid and bears three hallmarks on the underside of the lid. The smaller stein measures 9.75"H x 6"W x 5"D and is inscribed J.G.H. 1814 on the lid along with a couple in a landscape scene on the side. It bears the anchor with heart hallmark on the underside of the lid. Hinges work well and the lids open and close easily. They are in as found condition but look to be lightly polished.
