About the Item

Rare Art Déco Goldscheider Figure Group Of The 1930s: Gallant couple: dancer in a fan-like flared dress with flounces and floral decoration with her upper body and crossed legs leaning on the right side of the violinist standing behind her in a low-cut shirt and trousers and in a pose resting her head on his shoulder, on her shoulders a large red cloth, that reaches to the ground. The group is based on a large, round, stepped, base in cream, with gray shaded walls, artist's signature 'Lorenzl' on the back of the dancer, at the bottom of the cloth. Designed by Josef LORENZL (1892 - 1950), one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory in the period of 1920 - 1940.
