This striking set of two handcrafted ceramic cups by celebrated California studio potter Robert Maxwell beautifully captures the essence of Mid-Century Modern design through its organic form, earthy palette, and refined craftsmanship. Each cup is thoughtfully wheel-thrown in durable stoneware, featuring a rounded, slightly bulbous body that gently tapers toward a stable footed base. The subtly asymmetrical rims and hand-finished contours highlight the unmistakable touch of the artist, making each piece uniquely expressive. The glaze work is particularly noteworthy, showcasing Maxwell’s signature use of natural, earth-inspired tones.
