Ruth Duckworth was an innovative Chicago sculptor, deeply engaged in the natural world and responding to artistic developments in the 1960s. Working in clay, she called herself a sculptor whose medium was clay. This work is of stoneware with evidence of the hand of the artist. Similar stylistic work from the Mama series.
