About the Item

Fine pair of Dutch Delft larger plates dish from the famous Grieksche A workshop, painted in cobalt blue monochrome enamel with the “Theeboom” or “Tea Plant” pattern. The central decoration features a dense floral bouquet, framed by a border of lambrequins and scrolling foliate motifs. The scallop-molded rim and underside are accented with a band of stylized ornament near the edge. Marked with the D for Jan Teunis Dextra, owner of De Grieksche A, 1757-1765. Good condition, with minor wear consistent with age. Diameter: 25 cm.
