Heading : Set of four Liege wine glasses Period : c1720 Origin : Liege Colour : Clear Bowl : Round funnel with a band of straberry moulding above rim moulding Stem : Annular collar, flattened ball cushion, large air tear Foot : Folded conical Pontil : Snapped Glass Type : Soda lime Size : 13.7cm height, 5.2cm diameter bowl, 6.9cm diameter foot Condition : Excellent, no chips or cracks Restoration : None Weight: 303 grams Additional Information : This is "fraise" moulded glass, the reason being that when filed with red wine they resemble a strawberry. The Grand Curtius museum in Liège has the most comprehensive display of this form.
