About the Item

Stem Glasses' Pair in Amethyst Blown Murano Glass and Coral Borders Italy 1960s The production of this unique pair of stem glasses dates back to the 1960s in Murano, the Venetian island famous for its unrivaled blown glass tradition. Entirely handcrafted, they are the result of the exquisite craftsmanship of an animus Venetian artist, whose handwritten signature partially faded due to the time. This is a one-of-a-kind set, consisting of two stem glasses of different sizes and with irregular shape (the smallest glass is 15 cm height and has a diameter of 8 cm.; the tallest one is 19 cm high and has a diameter of 9 cm ). The aspect that mostly stands out is the magnificent color, the amethyst purple base fades toward the top of the glasses turning into a delicate lilac. A border of coral glass paste defines the chalices, highlighting their irregular structure. Suitable for any decor, this set stands out for its first-quality hue and workmanship, which only the finest Murano glass can give.
