About the Item

Antique hand-hammered copper pitcher or kettle with a beautifully rounded, bulbous form and rich, timeworn patina. The vessel features a gracefully curved riveted handle, a fitted lid with a decorative scroll finial, and a shaped pouring spout integrated into the rim. The surface displays warm copper tones with areas of verdigris and oxidation that reflect its age and authentic use. The interior shows expected wear and mineral buildup consistent with early utilitarian copper vessels. Construction details—including hand-riveted handle attachments and hammered seams—underscore its traditional craftsmanship. Both sculptural and functional in appearance, this piece works equally well as a decorative accent, hearth or kitchen display object, or rustic vessel. A striking example of early copperware with strong presence and honest character. Condition: Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear, surface patina, oxidation, and signs of use throughout.
