About the Item

This charming antique clear glass claret jug attributed to Legras dates to around 1900 and showcases elegant hand-painted floral enamel decoration. The body is adorned with delicate white and yellow blossoms, highlighted with fine gilded accents and soft green leaves, creating a light and romantic aesthetic typical of late Victorian and early Edwardian glassware. Expertly blown in clear glass, the jug features a sculpted paneled body, a wide flared rim with a shaped pouring lip, and an applied ribbed handle terminating in a decorative rosette. The base is slightly raised and polished, giving the piece a graceful silhouette and excellent stability. Ideal for serving wine, water, or lemonade, this piece also displays beautifully as part of a decorative glass collection. Its hand-applied enamel motifs remain vibrant and crisp, adding both charm and craftsmanship to any interior.
