About the Item

This glazed stoneware pitcher is signed by VE Ciboure, Vilotte period, circa 1920. The piece features a continuous frieze depicting antique chariots on an ochre ground, rendered in a refined neo-classical style characteristic of the manufactory’s early production. The quality of the drawing and the depth of the glaze reflect the craftsmanship associated with the Basque ceramic workshop. Signed “VE Ciboure” on the underside.
