About the Item

Product description Expressive Art Deco snavelkan produced by Mosa in Maastricht, the Netherlands, likely during the interwar period, circa 1920s–1930s. The design is striking for its sculptural with a dramatic beak-form spout, sweeping handle, and spiral relief decoration across the body. The soft olive-toned ground is contrasted by a vivid red-orange upper section, giving the piece a strong decorative presence. This example beautifully captures the adventurous shaping and bold color treatment associated with Dutch Art Deco ceramics from Maastricht. It works equally well as a display object or as part of a collection of early 20th-century European art pottery. Condition Good vintage condition with visible age-related wear. There is surface rubbing and paint loss, most notably to the red-painted rim/handle area, as well as minor wear to the body finish consistent with age and use. Overall, the piece retains a very strong decorative appearance. Dimensions Height: 22.6 cm Width: 19.5 cm Foot diameter: 9.8 cm Weight: 1100 g
