About the Item

Fine antique English hand-painted ironstone Imari decor platter with extraordinarily colorful "Imari" pattern. "Fraction-style" painted pattern number attributes maker of platter to John and William Ridgway, Cauldon place Shelton. Please note the spiral, scored back on the platter indicating manufacture first quarter of the 19th century. Other marks in glaze are firing pits and not damage.
