About the Item

A fantastic 19th century English (circa 1840) blue & white transfer printed serving platter in elongated octagon form, illustrated with classic Delft imagery. Abundant flowers, foliate, and Neoclassical motifs in the border frame the central landscape which transports the viewer to a Mediterranean landscape merging with pastoral/woodland tranquility where two cows graze by temple ruins. Stamped “Morea Bone China” on the reverse, the antique serving piece shows its age with a number of darkened chips around the edges and crazing of the ceramic. We believe this item to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition and message us with any questions.
