About the Item

Imari chop plate, circa 1880, Japanese. Lobed form with conforming decorative boarders and "fan" panels of seven different motifs repeating either twice or four times. Underglazing blue with overglaze green, burnt orange, etc. Two small rim nicks, central decoration wear. 12 1/8" diameter, 1.75 height.
