Large exceptional vase with cover by Hutschenreuther measuring 23.5 by 16.5 by 7 inches, finely gilt and painted with two cartouches depicting a single cherub scholar in a lush countryside, and cherub musicians on opposite side. Cover and underside of vase with the stamped mark CMHR with the dates 1814 and 1914, the mark commemorating the 100th year anniversary of the Bavarian firm.
