About the Item

An elegant Limoges porcelain plate, beautifully executed by the esteemed Paroutaud Frères (B & P), operating in Limoges, France, during the early 20th century. This plate exemplifies the refinement and delicacy of French floral porcelain painting. The centerpiece features a sumptuous bouquet of roses in full bloom, delicately hand-painted in a romantic palette of blush pink, deep rose, soft cream, and pale yellow. Each petal is rendered with remarkable detail and subtle shading, capturing the roses at their peak. Surrounding the floral composition is a lavish 24-karat gold acid-etched border, decorated with sheaves of wheat and stylized foliage motifs. The gilded frieze enhances the visual richness of the plate and showcases the high craftsmanship of the period. Backstamp: B & P Limoges France — mark of authenticity from the Paroutaud Frères atelier (1903–1912). Very good antique condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The gilding and painted surface remain vivid and intact. A refined addition to any collection of antique Limoges porcelain or as a decorative statement of timeless floral beauty.
