About the Item

This adorable little winged cherub, portrayed as a whimsical postman, has been crafted in the style of the celebrated German pottery manufacturer Meissen. Complete with a little blue peaked cap and pink satchel, this angelic porcelain putto wheels his fantastically decorative floral barrow on his way to deliver his declarations of love. Hand-painted in glorious polychrome, the figurine is set upon an underglazed oval base, which bears a 'fleur de lys' stamp and a blue maker's mark in the form of a crossed musical note.
